These six values, which are built upon Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, are an important part of how we display our unique personality as a church.

Intimacy With God Through Christ

Christianity is about relationship, not religion. Often times religion would tell you that church attendance or involvement is what God requires of you. This is about your personal devotion to God, this is not about your spouse, kids, or a close friend’s relationship with Him. As a church family, we desire that we all surrender to Christ on a daily basis. Like our earthly relationships, a relationship with Christ requires time with Him. God wants your devotion.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker
— Psalm 95:6
Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
— Isaiah 55:6

Authentic Relationships

Somewhere along the way, church became known as a place where people must fake their way through life. However, we value creating an environment where there are no masks. You don’t have to fake it. We want you to be able to be real about where you are in life. We aren’t interested in being a church where a lot of people get together for an inspiring service but never move beyond the causal relationship of an auditorium. Our desire is for you to be able to engage in authentic, transparent relationships here at CFCC.

...so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.
— 1 Thessalonians 2:8
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.
— Ephesians 4:25

Life Transformation

CFCC is a place for people on every part of the spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life. This is a safe place for everyone. But safe doesn’t mean serene. The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change. We expect every person to be moving closer to being the complete image of Christ in every area of life. This is not always a comfortable process. In fact, we often grow only when we are pushed out of our comfort zones.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
— Romans 12:2
...and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
— Ephesians 4:24

God’s Unique Design of People

Although we desire unity, we never expect uniformity. We celebrate the uniqueness of each person. The Bible compares the church to the body of Christ. Each person plays a vital part in our church. When CFCC is functioning as the body of Christ, we are in effect the closest thing to Christ that a watching world will see until His return.

...to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
— Ephesians 4:12
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
— Ephesians 2:10

Community Impact

We understand that God’s calling on our church is to go beyond just serving inside the walls of our church. We are constantly looking for opportunities to honor God by serving others.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”
— Matthew 5:14
He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
— Acts 1:7

Generosity Through Sacrificial Living

We acknowledge that the Christian life is not about us. We have been given life to exalt Jesus as our supreme treasure and we show that value by what we are willing to risk or sacrifice to have more of Him.

All the believers were together and had everything in common.
— Acts 2:44
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.
— Acts 4:32
