Where Competition and Character Collide

Our Basketball, Baseball, Football, and Cheerleading leagues have been going strong at Carolina Forest Community Church Sports Ministry for over 15 years. This Ministry is one of the primary means in which we engage our community.

“As I reflect back over the last 16 years, I think of the many families we have served throughout that time. I have seen them laugh, sometimes cry, grow, and mature. Some have gotten married and now have kids of their own!

The greatest complement is hearing how much playing here, or even coaching here, was such a great influence and big part of their family, or how when their kids are older, they can’t wait for them to be a part of this program as well. It’s humbling, not only to look back, but to see God still using this church and this ministry to spread the Gospel and to give kids a safe place to hear about Him.”

Community Strategy

All our players have the opportunity to grow in the areas of sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development, and overall fitness. We emphasize Christian character in the players, fans, and coaches by sharing game day devotionals and other instructional tools. Our volunteer chaplains are also present on game days as a resource for the kids and their families.

Dear Friends,

After retiring at Coastal Carolina University, I received an incredible opportunity to come on staff at Carolina Forest Community Church as an Associate Pastor. The biggest part of my job is overseeing our Sports Ministry. Our goal is to operate with excellence, which includes incredible facilities, coaches and fans, while teaching all participants the importance of Christian character. This is where we need you!

The facilities and funds to run our Sports Ministry are provided by the church and private donors. Our goal is to find 200 families who will become “Friends of CFCC Sports Ministry” by contributing just $100 per year to this Ministry. This support will allow for upgrades and maintenance for facilities and equipment.

I hope you will consider helping us raise the next generation of leaders with Christ at the center of it all.

Sincerely,
Mark Roach - Associate Pastor
